These give a very nice flame effect see video and its even better if your sconces have frosted glass. Screwed right in and worked. They don't shed a lot of light, but for Halloween decor they're perfect. The only other issue I have with it is that flickers constantly and rapidly, not interruptions of consistent light like an actual flame.
